Department of Kannada and Culture will organise Dakshina Kannada district level “Kala Prathibotsava” at Ganapathi Pre-University College in Mangalore on September 15 and 16.
Different competitions will be conducted under three age categories. Competitions under bala prathibe category will be for children aged between 8 years and 13 years; under kishora prathibe category for children aged between 13 years and 18 years and under yuva prathibe category for youth aged between 18 years and 30 years, according to an official release.
Competitions for children under bala prathibe and kishora prathibe age group will be conducted on September 15 from 9.30 a.m.
There will be classical music and classical instrumental music, light music, classical dance, singing folk songs, drawing and mono act competitions for them.
The release said that competitions for youth under yuva prathibe age group will be conducted on September 16 from 10 a.m.
In addition to the competitions fixed for the former two age groups there will be drama competition for the youth.
Those interested should apply to the Assistant Director of the department at second floor, Janata Bazar building, Ganapthi High School Road, Mangalore before September 7.
