Justice K.S. Hegde Hospital plans cancer centre

The Justice K.S. Hegde Hospital will build an advanced cancer centre and a super speciality block on its premises at Deralakatte here. Foundation stone for it will be laid on June 20.

According to a release, the new block would be named after N. Vishwanath Adyanthaya, a renowned physician who was practising in Mumbai.

The new block would have Renal and Neuro Intensive Care Units, radio diagnosis department, and blood bank.

The block would have 950 beds.

The Advance Cancer Centre, which would come up in the new building, would have state-of-art cancer treatment facilities.
