The Jodu Katte-Brahmagiri-Ambalpady Road will be temporarily closed for vehicular traffic for 18 days from December 22 to January 8 to facilitate widening of the road.
In a press to a release issued on Wednesday Deputy Commissioner M.T. Reju said that buses and Mangalore-bound light vehicles from Service and City Bus Stands should use the Diana Circle-Jodu Katte-Kinnimulki-Swagat Gopura-Nayarkere NGO Colony 4th Cross Road and reach National Highway 66.
The Nayarkere NGO Colony 4th Cross Road will be converted into a one-way during this period.
All shuttle and city buses coming from Mangalore, Kaup, Manchakal, Katapady and Udyavar on National Highway 66 should use Kannarpady NGO Colony 3rd Cross Road-Nayarkere Road-Swagat Gopura-Kinnimulky Road to reach Udupi. The Nayarkere NGO Colony 3rd Cross Road will be a one-way during this period.
All city buses coming from Malpe, Santhekatte, and Hoode should use the Karavali-Ambalpady Junction-Kannarpady NGO 3rd Cross Road-Swagat Gopura-Kinnimulki Road to enter Udupi.
All city buses going to Ambalpady should use the Diana Circle-Taluk Office-Kinnimulki-Swagat Gopura-Nayarkere NGO Colony 4th Cross Road-NH 66 and reach Ambalpady, the release added.
