A sector-specific skill development and job fair has been organised by the Department of Employment and Training, here on November 26 and 27.
Commissioner of Employment and Training S.R. Umashankar, who is also the Managing Director of Karnataka Vocational Training and Skill Development Corporation, told presspersons here on Monday that candidates aged above 14 who have completed SSLC, PUC (pass or fail), ITI, diploma, any degree, including B.E., who had attended the assessment process conducted by the Department of Employment and Training can attend.
The assessment process will be held at Assessment Centres in Chikmagalur (November 9), Kundapur and Puttur (November 10), and Udupi and Mangalore (November 9 and November10).
The fair will be held at the Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Hall in Udupi from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 26 and 27.
So far, 19 job fairs have been held in the State and 2.78 lakh candidates had attended them.
About 1.38 lakh candidates were placed.
