Inquiry sought

The Guruvayanakere-based Nagarika Seva Trust has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to hold an inquiry into the alleged denotification of 36.1 acres of land in Allalsandra in Bengaluru North taluk that had been purchased by the Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Society.

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India, in the latest report, had reported that the State government violated provisions of the Karnataka Land Acquisition Act while denotifying 637.32 acres of land, according to the trust.
