The Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat will fund the construction of a playground at the school started by Harekala Hajabba, an orange seller, in Harekala village, Mangalore taluk.
Zilla Panchayat president K. Koragappa Naik said Rs. 5 lakh would be given to the school by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, and another Rs. 5 lakh would be released from the ZP president’s funds before March.
