Group ‘D’ employees’ salary ‘not enough’

It is very difficult for Group ‘D’ employees to get a house in Mangalore, said G. Pinto, Deputy Commissioner, Excise and president, Dakshina Kannada District Government Employees Association.

Mr. Pinto said that the salary of the Group ‘D’ employees should consider the cost of living in a city such as Mangalore. He said he had discussed the matter with Mangalore South MLA J. R. Lobo and Health Minister U. T. Khader, and they said they would look into the matter.

K. N. Vijayaprakash, former Chief Executive Officer of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchyat, said while no difference should be made between girls and boys, most of the achievers were girls, and boys should also be in the achievers.
