A case of four youths reportedly going missing on January 12 came to light on Wednesday after a case was registered in the Cowl Bazazr Police Station here.

The names of the missing youths were given as Sanjeev, working with a contractor, Srinivas, Devaraj and Indrasen, all studying diploma courses.

The police said that preliminary enquiries revealed that Sanjeev had obtained ₹ 25,000 in cash from his contractor and had left the latter’s motorcycle at a petrol bunk asking one of his friends to hand it over back to the contractor.

He was seen along with the three others near the college before they went missing leaving their parents worried.

The motorcycle of another missing youth and a mobile phone was found near the high-level canal at Kolagallu, which is close to the college, and the mobile phones of two others were found to be switched off.

As of now, the police, who have no definite clues, have taken up investigation.
