Kasaragod MP’s visit

Our Udupi Special Correspondent reports: Kasaragod MP P. Karunakaran visited the Kasturba Hospital here on Thursday and enquired with the hospital authorities about the health of the sex assault victim, who hails from Kerala.

Balakrishna Shetty, leader of Udupi district unit of Communist Party of India (Marxist) told The Hindu that Mr. Karunakaran met the Medical Superintendent of Kasturba Hospital P. Hence Mr. Karunakaran did not meet her.

Mr. Karunakaran later met the IGP(Western Range) Pratap Reddy and told him that a lot of students from Kerala were studying in Manipal.
