Cyber cafe owner held for misbehaving with client

Owner of a cyber café in Marnamikatta was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a 20-year-old girl in the café. The Mangalore South police said the girl’s parents lodged a complaint accusing Shali (40) of misbehaving with their daughter Nandisha when she had come to the cyber café on Saturday. Shali was arrested and produced before the jurisdictional magistrate.

Illegal gas supplier held

Two persons were arrested after gas cylinders, worth more than Rs. 6 lakh, were seized by the police, on Saturday morning, who suspected them of illegally supplying gas in the market. According to the Bantwal Rural police S.B. Ashraf and his younger brother Noufal S.B. were illegally refilling cylinders. A total of 28 cylinders of various volumes were seized, said the police.

House burgled

Gold ornaments worth Rs. 2.5 lakh was taken away from the house of A.R. Lakshminarayana Bhat in Kuntikana on Saturday. Urva police said the family was out when the house was burgled.

Woman hangs self

A 28-year-old woman from Mysore, who as in the city for treatment for an aliment, was found hanging in her relative’s house in Shivanagar in Kavoor police station limits on Saturday.
