Cultural programmes for Saptotsava

The Sri Krishna Math will be organising a number of cultural programmes as part of the Saptotsava here from January 9 to 15.

Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji of Paryaya Shiroor Math told presspersons on Thursday that the music organisation Raga Dhana would hold a classical concert at Rajangana while Umesh Surathkal and party would give a saxophone recital in front of Shiroor Math on January 9.

B.T. Ravindra from Bantwal would give a saxophone recital followed by a dance drama “Bhasmasura Mohini” by Manjari Chandra Sanil and party in front of Shiroor Math on January 10. A saxophone recital by Sadashiva Devadiga and a “Nritya Vaividhya” programme by Vaidehi Subhashit and party would be held in front of Shiroor Math on January 11.

Dwarkanath and party from Bangalore would give a flute concert followed by a saxophone recital by Sundar Serigar from Alevoor in front of Shiroor Math on January 12. A saxophone recital by Hidayatulla Yermal and a “Bhakti Rasamanjari” by Sangeeta Balachandra and party would be held in front of the math on January 13.

A Yakshagana performance “Ratnavati Kalyana” would be held at Rajangana.
