Chief Minister to take partin Paryaya celebrations

Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda will visit Udupi district on January 17 and 18.

According to a press release issued here on Friday, Mr. Gowda will inaugurate a community hall at Kalathur on January 17. He will visit the Vishnumurthy Temple at Majur.

He will participate in the civic felicitation programme of the outgoing Paryaya swamiji Lakshmivara Tirtha of Shiroor Math on Car Street. Later, he will participate in the centenary celebrations of Udupi Cooperative Town Bank Ltd. Mr. Gowda will participate in the Paryaya procession and Paryaya durbar of Vishwavallabha Tirtha Swamiji of Sode Vadiraja Math on January 18. He will lay the foundation stone for a residential complex at Karavali junction at 9 a.m.
