Artificial limbs camp

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. will be organising the 15th artificial limbs camp for persons with disabilities between February 23 and 25. The camp will be held at the MRPL Employees Club, MRPL Township area, Bala. Those interested in availing the facilities can send their details to the DGM (CSR and Training), MRPL, Katipalla, before February 14.

Officer honoured

Chief Accounts Officer in the office of the Commissioner of Customs K. Sheikh Abdul Kareem has been honoured with the President’s Medal. The medal was conferred on Mr. Kareen during Republic Day, according to a press release.

Laproscopic camp

Wenlock Hospital will conduct free eye check-ups in the district throughout February. A release listed out the dates for the camps as: February 3, Eedabettu PHC in Puttur Taluk; February 6, Perlampady Koltige PHC; February 10, Bettampady PHC; February 13, Naravi PHC in Belthangady; February 20, Kababa PHC; February 24 Subramanya PHC; February 27, Pujankatte PHC in Bantwal Taluk, .

Cleanliness drive

Students of St. Agnes College and Child Line activists will be carrying out cleaning activities in different parts of the city on Saturday between 12 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. The activity is part of the St. Agnes College’s ‘Agnes Towards Community’ campaign. As many as 600 students of the college will be taking part in the programme, according to a press release
