‘Book attackers under Goonda Act’

Shyamala Bhandary, secretary, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), on Tuesday urged the Government to book the activists of the Hindu Jagarana Vedike, who had attacked young men and women at a homestay at Padil in Mangalore, under the Goonda Act.

Speaking at a demonstration organised by the district unit of Mahila Congress here, Ms Bhandary said “if the police were active, this incident could never have taken place.”
