The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) here on Monday released an audio CD and a video CD as part of the campaign of Nalin Kumar Kateel, its candidate for the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency.
The VCD contains pictures and details of projects implemented in the constituency using the MP’s area development fund.
The audio CD contains songs both in Tulu and Kannada on the achievements of the MP and the party.
The BJP a few days ago had released an audio CD having Yakshagana songs written on its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
A. Rukmayya Poojary, chairman, the party’s campaign committee for Dakshina Kannada, said that the party would organise women’s meets at various places in the district from Tuesday to step up the campaign.
He claimed that party workers had covered 50 per cent to 70 per cent of houses in door-to-door campaign in the district. K. Prathapsimha Nayak, president, district unit of the BJP, alleged that the Congress was seeking votes on the basis of caste and religion. He said that to divert the attention of voters from the scams during the last 10 years of the United Progressive Alliance government, the Congress was talking about the private life of Mr. Modi.
