Facility to check the name in the electoral roll, details about the model code of conduct and information about election observers will be available on the link related to elections provided on the official district website >www.dk.nic.in/ele2013.htm .

Additional Deputy Commissioner K.A. Dayanand said the link on website will provide all details about election and its conduct in Dakshina Kannada. The link leads to the 16-page model of conduct, facility to check the names, map of district showing eight assembly constituencies, duties the sector-level officers before and on date of election.

Mr. Dayanand said information and contact numbers of election observers and returning officers will be uploaded shortly after approval from Election Commission.

He said eight complaints related to violations of code of conduct were filed on Monday. It includes a few related to paid news, which have been referred to the District Media Certifying and Monitoring Committee, he said.
