A two-day workshop to train traditional Sanskrit students in the fundamentals of computer applications and Indological applications was organised by Dwaita Philosophy Resource Centre (DPRC), Sri Vadiraja Research Foundation, and Puttige Math, at the Manipal Centre for European Studies, a constituent of Manipal University, here on July 14 and 15.

“The Dwaita Philosophy Resource Centre should concentrate on generation of genuine knowledge based on an open intellectual discourse regarding Dwaita Vedanta through intensive research,” said scholar Udupi Ramanathacharya at the inaugural function of the workshop titled ‘Ganakasamkritam'.

Director of Manipal Centre for European Studies, Neeta Inamdar said the DPRC's objective was to integrate Dwaita knowledge system into that of the world.

In this direction, translation of manuscripts from Sanskrit to English and their digitization was of high importance.

Director of Sri Vadiraja Research Foundation Gopalacharya urged the candidates to utilise the library established at DPRC.
