IndiGo, which will operate its daily flights from Mangaluru to Bengaluru and Mumbai from May 1, will also connect the port city with Hyderabad and Delhi later, according to Sanjay Kumar, Chief Commercial Officer of the airlines.
Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, he said that it would take about two months to operate flights to Hyderabad and Delhi after connecting Bengaluru and Mumbai.
He said that the airliner would operate two daily flights to Bengaluru and one flight to Mumbai from next month.
All of them would be Airbus 320 with 180 seats each.
Mr. Kumar said that the airliner would introduce the third flight between Mangaluru and Bengaluru in July. It would be an evening flight as the schedule is yet to be finalised.
Meanwhile, IndiGo would be an addition with Air India, Jet Airways, and Spice Jet operating from Mangaluru International Airport.
Air Pegasus, which had introduced a flight to Bengaluru, withdrew its service about six months ago. In the Mangaluru-Bengaluru sector, IndiGo would be an early flight to arrive from Bengaluru at 6.30 a.m. from next month.
As the flight will leave Bengaluru at 5.30 a.m., it would provide an early morning connectivity between the two cities.
Further, passengers leaving here could reach Bengaluru at 7.55 a.m.
