Chinnappa Gowda chosen

K. Chinnappa Gowda, an eminent scholar in folk literature and culture, including Halegannada and Tulu languages, has been chosen to preside over the 21st Dakshina Kannada District Kannada Sahitya Sammelan scheduled from January 27 at Ujire. A release here said that Mr. Chinnappa Gowda, who is the vice-chancellor of Karnataka Folklore University, has extensively worked on Bhootaradhane and other related fields. Mr. Chinnappa Gowda had also been president of Bantwal Taluk Sahitya Sammelan. He had also worked as Registrar of Mangalore University.
