The Byndoor unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would be undertaking “Tayiyedege Namma Nadiga” padayatra on Sunday with the objective of seeing the president of the State unit of the BJP, B.S. Yeddyurappa, as the next Chief Minister and to realise the dream of a strong and prosperous India of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing presspersons here on Friday, B.M. Sukumar Shetty, members of the State Executive Committee of the BJP, said that nearly 4,000 workers of the BJP would be participating in the six-kilometre-long padayatra.
The padayatra would begin from Jadkal village at 8 a.m. and culminate at Kollur on the same day. A “Navagraha Chandika Yaga” had been organised at the Sri Mookambika Temple on the same day.
During his tenure as Chief Minister, Mr. Yeddyurappa had undertaken several pro-people programmes. People wanted to see him as Chief Minister again. So too, Mr. Modi wanted India to be prosperous, developed and strong. All these required divine blessings. Hence, the padayatra was being organised, he said. Mr. Shetty said that Mr. Modi had given good governance in the last two years.
