7 candidates submit 13 sets of nomination papers in Udupi

As many as seven candidates submitted 13 sets of nomination papers in four Assembly constituencies in Udupi district on Friday.

According to an official press release issued here, Suresh Kallagar of Communist Party of India (Marxist) submitted two sets of nomination papers, while C. Ravindra of Janata Dal (Secular) submitted three sets of nomination papers for the Byndoor Assembly Constituency.

Srinivas Shetty submitted three sets of nomination papers from the BJP for Kundapur Assembly constituency. Gangadhar Birti of Janata Dal (Secular) and Independent candidate Ramesh Marakala submitted one set of nomination papers each for Udupi Assembly constituency.

S. Satish Salian from Bahujan Samaj Party submitted one set of nomination papers, while H. Gopal Bhandary from Congress submitted two sets of nomination papers for Karkala Assembly constituency.

The last date for filing of nomination papers is April 24, while the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on April 25. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is April 27.
