156 nominations for ULB polls in Udupi

A total of 366 nomination papers have been filed in the district since February 16

As many as 156 nomination papers were filed for elections to the urban local bodies (ULB) on Saturday in Udupi district.

A total of 366 nomination papers were filed from February 16 till Saturday for the elections . According to an official release the number of nomination papers filed for Udupi City Municipal Council elections on Saturday was 57. This includes Congress – 22, Bharatiya Janata Party – 12, Janata Dal (Secular) – 5, Karnataka Janata Party – 4, BSR Congress – 9, and independents – 3. The number of nomination papers filed for Udupi CMC since February 16 is 118.
