Woman, son electrocuted near Melur

A mother and a son were electrocuted when they came in contact with live electricity wire at Nagalingapuram near Melur in the early hours of Saturday.

The police said that A. Suresh (26), had gone out of the house at around 3 a.m., when he touched a service wire dangling at a lower height.

Alarm raised

As he raised alarm, his mother, A. Kamatchiammal (50), tried to save him and also came in contact with the electricity.

A neighbour was also injured.
