Muthulakshmi (47), wife of Nammazhwar, Special Sub Inspector of Police, was killed in an accident which occurred at Perurani on Monday.
Nammazhwar was riding a motorcycle with his wife in the pillion. He lost control of the vehicle while overtaking a TNSTC bus and the motorcycle got trapped under the wheels of the bus. While Muthulakshmi died, Nammazhwar suffered injuries and has been admitted to Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital.
Thattaparai police have registered a case under Sections 279, 337 and 304 (A) of IPC.
