Special enrolment camps were held in 2,182 polling booths meant for seven Assembly constituencies in Dindigul and 1,057 polling stations meant for four Assembly constituencies in Theni district here on Sunday.

Revenue officials said that Form-6 was issued to all eligible persons who wished to enrol their names in the electoral roll. If the person’s age is below 25, he has been asked to produce documents in support of his or her age. The electoral officers checked whether their names had been included in the electoral roll or not.

The District Election Office had already displayed the final electoral roll meant for local body polls in all polling stations. Sufficient stock of Form-6 had been kept in all polling stations. Student ambassadors had already been deputed to all colleges to assist students to enrol their names in the electoral roll, election officials added.
