Vacation judges notified

The Madras High Court Bench here has split the period of summer vacation from May 1 to 31 into four parts – May 1 to 8, May 9 to 15, May 16 to 22 and May 23 to 31 – for the purpose of vacation court sitting arrangements and named the judges who would hear urgent cases during that period.

While Justices T. Sivagnanam and P.N. Prakash would preside over the proceedings during the first part, Justices G. Chockalingam and P. Kalaiyarasan would hear cases during the second part. The third would be presided over by Justices M.V. Muralidharan and B. Gokuldass and the final part by Justices R. Mahadevan and S.S. Sundar. Cases could be filed on every Monday and Tuesday of a week during the vacation period and they would be heard on every Wednesday and Thursday.
