Two teenaged boys, who allegedly issued bomb threat to Sri Meenakshi Amman temple, have been arrested, police said today.

Police said one of them had called 108-Ambulance service staff on Oct 29, and said a bomb had been planted at the temple, and asked them to inform Police.

Investigation revealed that the call had come from Gudlore in Theni district, and the mobile phone belonged to one Muthuraman, who told police that he had lost his cell phone over a year back.

Police traced the phone, using the IMEI id number to Sellur, and arrested the two boys, aged 16 and 17, last night.

One student had purchased the stolen phone during second sales and had used it to issue the bomb threat. They had changed the sim card after using the mobile, police said.
