TVS-ITF men’s future tennis tournament will be held at Madurai Union Club from March 2 to 9.
Players with International rankings between 100 and 300 from all over the world will be taking part in it. It is being played in Madurai for the second consecutive year.
There will be 20 direct entries based on points secured from previous tournaments. There will be qualifying matches on March 2 and 3 where 32 players will be playing for top eight places to get into the main draw. Four players will be given wild card. Total of 32 players will enter the main draw to fight for the championship that will take pace from March 4 to 9. The doubles event will be split with these players forming 16 teams. The total prize money for the tournament is $10000. Complementary passes are being sent to schools and colleges for promising players to witness some enthralling tennis between top players throughout the week.
