Trains rescheduled in the Madurai Division

The Southern Railway has rescheduled the operation of some of its trains in the Madurai Division following the damage caused to a pier of the Pamban bridge.

According to a Southern Railway press release, the following trains have been fully cancelled: 22622 Kanyakumari- Rameswaram Express leaving Kanyakumari on January 15 and 18. 22621 Rameswaram-Kanyakumari Express leaving Rameswaram on January 17 and 19.

56721 Madurai-Rameswaram passenger, 56723 Madurai-Rameswaram passenger, 56725 Madurai-Rameswaram passenger, 56726 Rameswaram-Madurai passenger, 56724 Rameswaram-Madurai passenger, 56829 Tiruchi-Rameswaram passenger and 56830 Rameswaram-Tiruchi passenger — from January 14 to 19. 56722 Rameswaram-Madurai passenger from January 15 to 20.

The following trains are terminated at Mandapam and partially cancelled between Mandapam and Rameswaram:

16713 Chennai Egmore- Rameswaram Express and the 16701 Chennai Egmore-Rameswaram Express leaving Chennai Egmore have been terminated at Mandapam and partially cancelled between Mandapam and Rameswaram till January 18.

16714 Rameswaram-Chennai Egmore Express and 16702 Rameswaram-Chennai Egmore Express leaving Rameswaram have been partially cancelled between Rameswaram and Mandapam till January 19. They will leave Mandapam as per schedule.

The following trains are terminated at Madurai and partially cancelled between Madurai and Rameswaram:

16779 Tirupati- Rameswaram Express leaving Tirupati on January 15 and 18 will be terminated at Madurai and partially cancelled between Madurai and Rameswaram..

16780 Rameswaram-Tirupati Express leaving Rameswaram on January 17 and 19 will be partially cancelled between Rameswaram and Madurai. It will leave from Madurai as per schedule.

16734 Okha-Rameswaram Express arriving Rameswaram on January 17 will be terminated at Madurai and partially cancelled between Madurai and Rameswaram.

16733 Rameswaram-Okha Express leaving Rameswaram on January 18 will be partially cancelled between Rameswaram and Madurai. The train will leave from Madurai as per schedule.

The following trains are terminated at Tiruchi and partially cancelled between Tiruchi and Rameswaram:

14260 Varanasi-Rameswaram Express will be terminated at Tiruchi on January 16 and partially cancelled between Tiruchi and Rameswaram.

14259 Rameswaram-Varanasi Express leaving Rameswaram on January 16 will be partially cancelled between Rameswaram and Tiruchi. The train will leave from Tiruchi as per schedule.
