April 03, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - MADURAI:

The challenges thrown at students and their parents at the Plus Two crossroads are many. Unfulfilled ambitions of parents and peer pressure always influence the career decisions of the young ones.

Here is a chance, in the form of The Hindu Education Plus Career Counselling 2016, for parents and students to convert the challenges into opportunities by making nuanced decisions.

Potential

The Hindu Education Plus Career Counselling 2016 will not be a run-of-the-mill event as it has been planned to throw more light on areas which have potential for a successful career. The participants will also be familiarised with the annual admission matrix to professional courses. The event, presented by VIT University and powered by Kalasalingam University, will be held at the Raja Muthiah Mandram here on April 17. It will be inaugurated by K. Veera Raghava Rao, Collector.

Murali, former Principal, Madura College; S. Rajamohan, Managing Director, Envirocare, and Samuel Johnson of VIT University. Career consultant Jayaprakash Gandhi will take the participants through career options.

The event is conducted in association with The Hindu Tamil.
