Event to provide opportunities for participants to interact with experts

The much-awaited ‘The Hindu EDGE Career Counselling ’17,’ an event meant for students, their parents and teachers to have clarity on choosing the future career will be held at Muslim Orphanage Committee (MOC) Hall at High Ground near Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital, Palayamkottai on Thursday (April 13).

The event will provide ample opportunities for participants to interact with experts from various disciplines and gain insight into diverse courses and career avenues. Universities, colleges, coaching centres, education consultants, overseas education centres, banks and financial institutions, will participate in ‘The Hindu EDGE Career Counselling ‘17.’

After Pradip Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli City, inaugurating the day-long session at 10 a.m., educational consultant Ramesh Prabha will address the students on selecting engineering courses and employment opportunities available in the present scenario in various streams of engineering.

The highlight of the forenoon session will be address by motivational speakers Mala Mary Martina and Jerry Sylvester Vincent, who will explain to the parents and children ways of stress management and neutralising the problems they face in their academic and personal life.

Students can get cleared all their doubts relating to NEET from S. Manova Raja as admission to government and private medical colleges is going to be made on all-India basis from this year.

The afternoon session will start with the address by J.T. Winolwin Japes, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kalasalingam University on identifying good institution, as most of the core companies visit only the leading institutions for selecting their future workforce. After J. Karthikeyan of VIT University explains in detail the opportunities for students in India and abroad, N. Raj Mohan will conduct ‘Bodhi psychometric test,’ which will mark the end of the day-long session.
