The term-end examinations of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will begin on June 1 and conclude on June 28.

For the Madurai region which covers 17 districts, the university has 10 examination centres in Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchi, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Erode and Ayikudi. Around 10,000 students are appearing for the June term-end examinations in this region.

M. Shanmugham, IGNOU Regional Director, Madurai, in a press release here on Saturday, said that hall tickets had been issued to all eligible students and the hall ticket status is available on the university website, www.ignou.ac.in.

Students who have not received the hall ticket by post can download it from the IGNOU website. The university has 753 examination centres, including 58 overseas centres and 21 centres in jails.

He has asked the students to bring the identity card and not to carry mobile phone with them to the examination hall. Separate hall tickets would be issued to students of BCA and MCA courses for term-end practical examinations and students had been asked to contact the IGNOU Regional Centre in the last week of June for their practical examinations.
