Parties usually come together for seat sharing prior to the polls, but parties in the PWF have not only agreed upon a common minimum programme but also resolved to fight corrupt forces as the State was ruined by the rulers in the past, MDMK general secretary and PWF coordinator Vaiko told reporters here on Wednesday.
“The PWF is confident of defeating its enemies in the ensuing political battle with people’s support,” he said.
In fact, there has been a steep rise in awareness of PWF’s activities in social media. Many youngsters have expressed their solidarity to the Front through their posts on Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp.
Mr. Vaiko said that there were sustained campaigns from some forces to derail the PWF.
“All our allies are confident of facing the challenge,” he asserted.
The PWF’s proposed conference on January 26 in Madurai would be a turning point and set the stage for the 2016 elections, Mr. Vaiko said.
