State second, third rank holders

Madurai district has a record number of students who have secured second and third ranks in the State in Class X examinations.

As many as 12 students from the district are second rank holders, scoring 498 marks, and 29 are third rank holders with 497 marks, officials in School Education Department said here on Friday. The students from Madurai district who have secured second rank in the State are: S. Bhavadharini, S. Chokkalingam, K. Manogari and R. Poorna of Mahatma Montessori Matriculation Higher Secondary School; K. Ishwarya and A. Nandhakumar of CEOA Matriculation School; S.K. Janani Priyadharshini of Rotary Laharry Matriculation Higher Secondary School; S. Kamali of Tagore Vidyalayam Matriculation Higher Secondary School; M. Karthick and S.M. Meena of SBOA Matriculation Higher Secondary School; K. Mutharasi of OCPM Girls Higher Secondary School; and S. Nivethakumari of Karpagam Matriculation Higher Secondary School.

The State third rank holders are S. Afshana of St. Josephs Matriculation Higher Secondary School; C. Angel Shiny and K. Hemalakshmi of Mary Imma Matriculation School; I. Aparna, R.M. Deepika, N. Devi Natchiyar, E. Jassvand, S. Shanmugam. M.M. Shweta, M. Subraja, B. Vijaya Jothi and R.S. Vishwesh of Mahatma Montessori Matriculation Higher Secondary School (Surveyor Colony and K.K. Nagar); D. Divya and S. Nivetha of SBOA Matriculation Higher Secondary School; M. Jeyamari Nandhini, K. Rooba, S. Siva Priya, G. Subasree, S, Swetha, M. Umaganeshpandi, R. Vijay and B.R. Mithran of CEOA Matriculation Higher Secondary School; S. Esther Beula, M. Riveka and A. John Vanith Muthuraj of Fuscos Matriculation Higher Secondary School; R. Keerthana of Srisundareswara Matriculation Higher Secondary School; P.C. Sakthi Priya of OCPM Girls Higher Secondary School; R. Srividhya of Linga Matric School; and C. Vengadajothi of PKN Girls Higher Secondary School.
