Special trains to help stranded passengers

They will cater to a minimum of 7,650 passengers

In view of the strike by State transport corporation employees and based on the request from the State Government, following special trains are being run from Monday for the benefit of passengers: Train No. 06067/ 06068/ 06069 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Unreserved Specials from May 15 onwards.

Train No. 06067 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli Unreserved Special will be operated on Friday (May 19) with the composition of 15 general second class (sitting accommodation) coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans. This special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 7.40 a.m., Tambaram at 8.12 a.m., Chengalpet at 8.45 a.m., Tindivanam at 9.39 a.m., Villupuram at 10.30 a.m., Vriddhachalam at 11.17 a.m., Ariyalur at 12.07 p.m., Tiruchi at 1.23 p.m., Dindigul at 2.52 p.m., Madurai at 4.25 p.m., Virudhunagar at 4.57 p.m., Sattur at 5.20 p.m., Kovilpatti at 5.42 p.m. Vaanchi Maniyachi at 6.30 p.m. and reach Tiruneveli at 8 p.m.

Train No. 06068 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Unreserved Special will be operated on all days from Monday (May 15) with the composition of 15 General Second Class (sitting accommodation) coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans. It will leave Tirunelveli at 10.10 p.m., Vaanchi Maniyachi at 10.42 p.m., Kovilpatti at 11.42 p.m., Sattur at 12.02 a.m., Virudhunagar at 12.50 a.m., Madurai at 1.50 a.m., Dindigul at 3 a.m., Tiruchi at 4.40 a.m., Ariyalur at 5.52 a.m., Vriddhachalam at 6.45 a.m., Villupuram at 8 a.m., Tindivanam at 8.40 a.m., Chengalpet at 10 a.m., and reach Chennai Egmore at 12 noon.

Train No. 06069 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli Unreserved Special on all days except Thursdays and Sundays will be operated with the composition of 15 General Second Class (sitting accommodation) coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.

It will leave Chennai Egmore at 11.45 p.m., Tambaram at 12.15 a.m., Chengalpet at 12.45 a.m., Tindivanam at 1.42 a.m., Villupuram at 2.40 a.m., Vriddhachalam at 3.20 a.m., Ariyalur at 4.20 a.m., Tiruchi at 5.45 a.m., Dindigul at 7.12 a.m., Madurai at 8.20 a.m., Virudhunagar at 9.20 a.m., Sattur at 9.42 a.m., Kovilpatti at 10.40 a.m., Vaanchi Maniyachi at 11.20 a.m., and arrive at Tiruneveli at 12.35 p.m. These special trains will cater to a minimum of 7,650 passengers in Chennai – Tirunelveli sector.
