Special trains to clear rush

Southern Railway will run the following special train to clear extra rush of traffic. Train No.06002 Tirunelveli-Chennai Egmore special fare special train will leave Tirunelveli at 2.45 p.m. on August 7 and reach Chennai Egmore at 4.15 a.m. the next day, a statement said.

The Composition of the train will be AC 2-tier-one, AC 3-tier- two, sleeper class- twelve and luggage-cum-brake van- two coaches.

The stoppages will include Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Vriddachalam, Villupuram, Chengalpet, Tambaram and Mambalam.

Advance reservations for the above trains are open.

Stoppage

In view of the ‘Aadi Pooram’ festival at Melmaruvathur, the following trains have been provided temporary stoppage of one minute duration at Melmaruvathur from August 3 to 5:

Train No.12635 Chennai Egmore-Madurai Vaigai express will stop at 2.49 p.m.; Train No.12661 Chennai Egmore – Sengottai Podhigai express will stop at 10.24 p.m. and Train No.12636 Madurai – Chennai Egmore Vaigai express will stop at 12.41 a.m., the statement said.

Train No.12662 Sengottai-Chennai Egmore Podhigai Expresses, leaving Sengottai from August 2 to 4, will stop at 4.24 a.m.
