Southern Railway will run the following special trains to clear the extra rush of traffic. A statement said that Train No. 06029 Nagercoil-Chennai Egmore special train will leave Nagercoil at 5 p.m. on May 31 and reach Chennai Egmore at 6.05 a.m. the next day.
Train No.06031 Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 3 p.m. on June 1 and reach Nagercoil at 4.15 a.m. the next day.
Composition of the trains: One AC 2-tier coach, two AC 3-tier coaches, 12 sleeper class coaches, three general second class coaches, and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
The trains will stop at Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Chengalpattu and Tambaram. Train No.06029 Nagercoil-Chennai Egmore special train will stop at Mambalam also.
Advance reservations for the above trains will begin on Thursday.
