Special trains for southern districts from Chennai for Deepavali: Reservation begins today

The composition of the trains would be one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 13 sleeper class, two general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches

Southern Railway would operate special trains to clear the extra rush during the Deepavali festival. Advance reservation for the trains would commence Saturday.

A statement said that Train No.06748 Nagercoil-Chennai Egmore Superfast specials (via. Madurai, Tiruchi, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram): would leave Nagercoil at 5 p.m. on November 11 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 6.05 a.m. the next day.

Train No.06747 Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Special will leave Chennai Egmore at 2.35 p.m. on November 12 and arrive Nagercoil at 5.30 a.m. the next day.

The composition of the trains would be one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class, three general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains would stop at Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Melmaruvathur, Chengalpattu and Tambaram.

Train No.06748 would stop at Mambalam and T.No.06747 will stop at Ariyalur and Srirangam also.

Tirunelveli-Chennai Central Weekly Specials (via. Tiruchi, Erode):

Train No.06750 Tirunelveli-Chennai Central Weekly special would leave Tirunelveli at 4 p.m. on November 8 and arrive Chennai Central at 9.20 a.m. the next day. Train No.06749 Chennai Central-Tirunelveli Superfast Weekly special would leave Chennai Central at 10.30 p.m. on November 9 and arrive Tirunelveli at 2 p.m. the next day.

The composition of the trains would be one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper class, six general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains would stop at Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Karur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpeti, Vaniyambadi, Ambur, Gudiyattam, Katpadi and Arakkonam. Train No.06750 would stop at Perambur also.

Chennai Central-Nagercoil-Chennai Central Specials (via. Chennai Egmore, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam): Train No.06019 Chennai Central-Nagercoil Special would leave Chennai Central at 7.30 p.m. on November 10 and arrive Nagercoil at 11.15 a.m. the next day.

Train .No.06020 Nagercoil-Chennai Central Special would leave Nagercoil at 1.20 p.m. on November 11 and arrive Chennai Central at 5 a.m. the next day.

The composition of the trains would be one AC 2-tier, four AC 3-tier, 11 sleeper class, three general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The trains would stop at Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Chengalpet, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Tirunelveli and Valliyur. T.No.06020 will stop at Mambalam also.

Chennai Egmore-Tuticorin specials (via.Villupuram, Mayiladuthurai):

Train No.06001 Chennai Egmore-Tuticorin special would leave Chennai Egmore at 10.45 p.m. on November 13 and arrive Tuticorin at 12.50 p.m. the next day. Train No. 06002 Tuticorin-Chennai Egmore Superfast special would leave Tuticorin at 6.15 p.m. on November 14 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 7.20 a.m. the next day, the statement said.

The composition of the trains would be one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 13 sleeper class, two general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The trains would stop at Tambaram, Chengalpet, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Tiruppadiripuliyur, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi and Milavittan. T.No. 06001 woul stop at Tuti-Melur. Train No.06002 would stop at Mambalam also.
