Collector Anshul Mishra has ordered for conducting of special camps on April 2 in various villages to redress public grievances related to government services under the Assured Maximum Service to Marginal People in All Villages, which is popularly known as AMMA scheme.
According to a press communiqué, the camps would be held in Kusavankundu, Ramankulam, Solankuruni, Kuthiraikothi and Nallur of Madurai South circle and Thamaraipatti bit 2, Veerapandi bit 1, Kannnnenthal, Velliyangundram and Paravai bit 1 in Madurai North circle.
The camps would also be conducted at Therkutheru, Soorakundu and Pathinettankudi in Melur circle; Vaavidamaruthur, Thandalai, Maniyanji Kumaram and Azhagapuri in Vadipatti circle; Villur bit 1, Idaiyapatti, Odaipatti, Sengapadai bit 1 and Sengapadai bit 2 in Thirumangalam circle.
Kuravagudi, Vinnakudi and Sadachipatti in Usilampatti Circle and Melathirumanickam, Sedapatti and Pappinaickenpatti in Peraiyur circle were the other places earmarked for the conduct of special camps headed by jurisdictional Tahsildars.
Grievances related to old age pension, monetary assistance for widows, Patta (land ownership document) transfer, corrections in ration cards, issuance of birth and death certificates, community certificates, supply of drinking water and such other issues could be redressed during the camps.
The AMMA scheme was introduced by the State Government’s Revenue Department on February 24, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s birthday.
It had been planned in a way to reach all villages in the State within six months of its introduction, the press statement added.
