The Principal District Court here has granted conditional bail to seven persons in the alleged murder of ‘Pottu’ Suresh, a functionary of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.

Sixteen persons are in judicial custody in connection with the murder. Fourteen had applied for bail. On Tuesday, Principal District Judge (PDJ) B. Gokul Doss granted bail for seven persons — Saba alias P. Sabarathinam, M. Santhanam, M. Sekar, R. Karthik, A. Senthil, Raja alias N. Nagamurugan and S. Lingam, with conditions to appear at the Pudukottai police station every day until further orders.
