Scuffle between student, TNSTC crew

A wordy altercation between a student and a TNSTC crew gave some tense moments in the busy integrated bus stand at Maatuthavani here on Tuesday evening.

Police said that the student, who did not get a proper response from the crew, had abused them. Irked, a TNSTC conductor had picked a wordy altercation with him, which ended up in an exchange of blows.

As a sequel, both of them approached Anna Nagar police.

Compromise

When the police, who conducted an investigation, sought complaints from both sides to file a case, the parents of the student struck a compromise, a police officer said.

Meanwhile, the TNSTC employees union threatened to go on a strike, if the police registered cases against their members, an office-bearer said.
