‘Save MKU Coalition’ meet on Monday

The ‘Save Madurai Kamaraj University Coalition’ which has been holding demonstrations to highlight the problems and administration lapses in the varsity is meeting on January 13 (Monday) to chalk out their next course of action.

Members of this coalition held protests from January 7 to 9 at the Head Post Office, Palanganatham junction and Pudur bus stand in the city demanding the immediate intervention of Governor and Chief Minister to settle the university issues.

P.Vijayakumar, co-convenor of the coalition, in a press release said that their main demand was the university authorities should withdraw vindictive actions taken against the staff and students of MKU. The coalition also demands that the Tamil Nadu Government should initiate action against the Vice-Chancellor for irregularities in administration.
