Rise in level of dams around Palani

Thanks to copious rainfall in catchment areas, dams in Palani taluk received improved inflow on Thursday.

The Paalar dam was reaching its full level of 65 feet, with the current level standing at 64.3 feet.

It had an inflow of 493 cusecs and 454 cusecs of water was discharged from it.

Its catchment area received a rainfall of 27 mm.

Vardhamanadhi dam had water at 67.26 feet.

The inflow of 538 cusecs was discharged from it. Its catchment area recorded a rainfall of 102 mm.

Kodirayar dam's level stood at 76.87 feet, against the full level of 80 feet.

The reservoir had an inflow of 130 cusecs and five cusecs of water was discharged from it.

The reservoir's catchment area received 48 mm of rainfall.
