Students of Virudhunagar Hindu Nadar Higher Secondary School, Madurai who had completed their tenth standard in the year 1980 had a reunion along with their families and teachers recently at Kamarajar Aranilaya Hall in Madurai.
During the meet which was held in a grand manner, the teachers were honoured by the students. Former Head Master A.Rajendran and former teachers Kandaraj, Soundra Pandian, Umapathy, Jeyamani, Samuthira Pandian, Gnanasekaran, Sathru Sangaravel, Vanniya Perumal, Alagan, Rajathi, Gunasundari, Uma, Gunaseeli, Sheela, Shantha Manohari and Ramani were honoured on the occasion.
S. Sundareshwaran delivered the welcome address; the teachers went nostalgic and shared their experiences happily. The arrangement was done by K.Saravanakumar, coordinator and others. A. Sivakumar, T. Balamurugan, M.Thilagar, N.Vijayakumar and M.Ravichandran.

I was a 1976-Class XI student and it is great to see the teachers who instilled the
values of discipline, handwork and persistence in us. Although it has been 36
years, I can still identify my English teacher, former headmaster Mr. A. Rajendran
and Science teacher Mr. Sathru Sangaravel in the picture. I recognize the names of
Soundra Pandian, Umapathy, Jeyamani and Samuthira Pandian but could not
identify them in the picture.
I still remember the hands-on science teaching by Mr Sathru Sangaravel which got
me interested in Science. Now, I am a scientist at EMD Millipore, St. Louis,
Missouri. Kudos to all the former and the current teachers at VHN School for their
excellent teaching.
