In the wake of the transfer of Collector Anshul Mishra, two organisations sought his re-appointment.

In a press release, trustee of Justice Shivraj V.Patil Foundation for Socio-legal Studies and Development S.Selva Gomathy stated that Mr.Mishra was an officer who did not give in to pressure. “The government should revoke the transfer,” she added.

Soco Trust said in a release issued by Managing Trustee A.Mahaboob Batcha that Mr.Mishra worked tirelessly to eradicate corruption and bring erring officials to book. “We register our shock and regret for the transfer of the Collector under whose leadership the district was getting transformed. He took effective steps to stop illegal granite quarrying,” the release said, and added that he tirelessly propagated the importance of being honest and dedicated.
