Public hearing on tariff revision

The Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) is holding a public hearing here on Thursday with regard to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board's (TNEB) petition to increase electricity tariff for certain categories of consumers.

Details of the petition have been made available for the public at all regional distribution Chief Engineer's offices, Chief Financial Controller/Revenue Office in Chennai. They have also been posted on the TNERC's and TNEB's websites — www.tnerc.gov.in and www.tneb.in.

Commission Chairman S. Kabilan and members R. Rajupandi and K. Venugopal would conduct the meeting, which would be conducted at Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry's premises on Kamarajar Salai at 10.30 a.m.. Those who are interested in appearing for the hearing must register their names at the venue between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., a press release said.
