Opportunities for skilled labour would keep increasing in a developing country like India and the western countries, said T. Rajasekar, Regional Joint Director, Department of Employment and Training.

He was addressing the students of TVS Community College at the valedictory function in Madurai on Friday.

As many as 198 students received certificates after successful completion of skill training courses. Shanthi Mohan, Vice-Principal, Lakshmi School, urged the students to cultivate an interest in their work and put more efforts into it.

Special awards and prizes were distributed to the outgoing students.

R. Srinivasan, Director, TVS Group of Schools, urged the students to have a right balance of values, skills and learning to make a mark in their chosen field.

Peer Mohammed, Assistant Director, Department of Employment and Training, H. Kalyanasundaram, Headmaster, TVS Higher Secondary School, and Col.V. Janakiraman, Correspondent, were present.
