Power generation affected at TTPS

November 20, 2012 11:31 am | Updated 11:31 am IST - TIRUNELVELI:

Power generation in the third unit of 5 X 210 MW Tuticorin Thermal Power Station (TTPS) was stopped on Monday evening due to a “technical snag.”

Sources in TTPS said power generation was stopped after “technical problems” were noticed in the third unit. “We’re working to sort out the problem,” said a senior TTPS official, who did not want to be quoted.

However, he refused to explain in detail about the nature of the “technical snag.”
