The Madras High Court bench in Madurai on Monday summoned Industries Secretary C.V. Shankar and directed him to be present in the court on Tuesday.

The court criticised him for filing an “improper” inquiry report in a case relating to recommendations made by politicians, belonging to both the ruling and Opposition parties, for filling eight posts of watchman and 20 posts of sweeper in government schools situated within the limits of Usilampatti educational district in 2012.
