Pasupathi Pandian murder case: hearing adjourned

Principal District and Sessions Court Judge R. Poornima on Tuesday adjourned Pasupathi Pandian murder case till March 17.

Amid tight security, Rajesh, one of the 16 accused in the case, was produced before the court in the morning. All other accused, including prime accused Subhash Pannaiyar of Moolakarai in Tuticorin district, did not appear before the court. On hearing the case, the judge adjourned the case.

Rajesh was brought from Palayamkottai Central Prison. Later, he was taken back to Palayamkottai.

Police had arrested 18 accused in connection with the murder case. Pura Pandi, one of the accused, was murdered two years ago. Another accused, Muthupandi, was also murdered by a gang near Kallazhagar Temple near in Alagarcoil last year.
